Hey Love, bring on your sunny glow!…
This journey started with a single step—an idea scribbled in a notebook and a dream to create something meaningful. I wanted to share stories, inspire others, and express my love for writing. A year ago, I took a leap of faith, turned my ideas into reality, and began sharing my little treasure box with the world.
Starting a blog felt like stepping into the unknown, but I trusted my passion and let it guide me. My first blog post, “Hey! It’s Time To Open The Treasure Box: Powerful!” was the beginning of everything—an invitation to explore a world of inspiration, motivation, and personal growth. Looking back, it’s incredible to see how far I’ve come since that first post!

The Numbers That Tell My Story
When I first started blogging, numbers were the last thing on my mind. I just wanted to write and share my thoughts. But over time, the numbers started to tell a story of their own. Over the past year, I’ve published 42 blog posts, including 1 guest post I was honored to write for Freeat50.blog. Each post has been a step toward building meaningful connections with my readers and fellow bloggers. Along the way, I’ve also released 2 eBooks, ventured into affiliate marketing, and even monetized my blog! These aren’t just numbers—they’re milestones and achievements that warm my heart and keep my passion for blogging alive.
Balancing Dreams and Milestones
Blogging has truly unlocked my passion for writing and self-expression, helping me grow in ways I hadn’t imagined. I’ve discovered new strengths and passions along the way, and the journey of creativity and self-discovery has only just begun. Each step I take brings me closer to fulfilling even more of my dreams.
While keeping up with blogging, I also managed to pour my heart into writing my first book. Though it’s not published yet, it’s a dream I’ve brought closer to reality. Juggling all of this has been a challenge, but one that’s left me feeling fulfilled and excited for what’s next.
Lessons Learned Along the Way
1. Self-Belief Is Key
I started out shy in October 2023, sharing snippets of my thoughts on social media—mostly on TikTok. Gradually, I found the courage to expand to YouTube and became more active on Facebook and Instagram. From there, I launched my blog in the first week of January 2024, a step that felt both exciting and daunting. Trusting my voice and staying true to myself has been key to building a blog that feels genuine and carving my space in this vast digital world.
2. Consistency Matters
Even on days when inspiration was nowhere to be found, I learned the importance of showing up and putting in the work in my blogging journey. Consistency helped me build trust with my readers and grow my blog steadily. It’s a reminder that small, persistent efforts in blogging add up to big results over time.
2. Quality Over Quantity
Focusing on thoughtful, meaningful posts has been far more rewarding than rushing to churn out content. Taking the time to craft something valuable creates a deeper connection with readers. It’s not about how much you create but how well it resonates.
3. Connection Is Powerful
Connecting with my readers and fellow bloggers has been one of the highlights of this journey. Connecting with my readers and fellow bloggers has been one of the most rewarding parts of this journey. Being part of supportive blogging communities, especially through social media groups, like Facebook Groups, has been a game-changer. These spaces have not only helped me grow my reach but also deepened my knowledge in ways I never imagined. Surrounding yourself with the right people makes the blogging experience even more meaningful and inspiring!
4. “Done Is Better Than Perfect” ~ Sheryl Sandberg
Letting go of perfectionism has been a game changer for me. I’ve learned that sometimes it’s better to hit “publish” and move forward rather than waiting for everything to be perfect. Focusing on progress rather than perfection has kept me motivated and moving. Plus, those so-called “imperfect” moments have often led to unexpected breakthroughs and growth.
6. The Only Constant Is Change
Blogging has taught me the importance of staying adaptable in a constantly evolving digital landscape. From learning about new social media trends to refining my writing style and experimenting with fresh ideas, embracing change has kept my blog dynamic and engaging. Every update and adjustment has helped me connect better with my readers and allowed my content to resonate on a deeper level.
7. Learning Never Stops
Blogging has been a constant journey of learning., and I’m always learning new things. SEO has been one of the biggest challenges—I’m still figuring it out, but I’m making progress. As for affiliate marketing, I’ve had to learn how it works, the best strategies to monetize, and how to create valuable partnerships. Additionally, I’ve had to get familiar with the legal side of blogging, making sure I’m aware of things like copyright, privacy policies, and other important regulations.
Looking to the Future
Although I’m celebrating my first blogversary and all the wins that came with it, I know there’s still so much to learn, new skills to master, and room to grow. Yet, I’m genuinely proud of everything I’ve accomplished this past year. This is just the beginning, and the opportunities in blogging feel limitless. I’m excited to embrace them all, one step at a time.

Wondering what’s next for me? I have so many ideas swirling around, but for this year, I’m keeping it focused and intentional.
I have big plans for the next chapter of my journey, and I couldn’t be more excited about what’s ahead:
- Publish my first book, bringing a dream to life.
- Grow my community and connect with even more incredible people.
- Collaborating with fellow bloggers.
- Land exciting writing opportunities that push me to new heights.

Done Is Better Than Perfect – At the beginning of my blogging journey, I wanted everything to be perfect. It took me months to get my blog up and going, and I still didn’t like it. Since I posted it, it has changed 3 times, and I’m learning more and more every time I look at it. I’m glad I hit published finally and started walking down the road instead of just talking about the road!
Hi Jarrod,
Your journey resonates so much! Perfection can hold us back, but the magic happens when we take that leap and start. Each change and lesson is part of the growth process, and it’s inspiring that you embraced it. Hitting “publish” was the moment you gave yourself permission to evolve. Keep going—you’re creating something wonderful!
