Hey Love, bring on your sunny glow!...
If there is a widely used concept now that we are constantly hearing about, it should be self-care. What is self-care? According to this article by Dr Matt Glowiak, Self-care refers to anything that you do to keep yourself mentally, emotionally, physically socially and spiritually healthy. Isn’t it a nice concept? Some say it is selfish, little they know that when you take great care of yourself, you are able to give a better version of yourself to the world. It’s about recharging your batteries, setting boundaries, and making yourself a priority. Self-care isn’t just a trend—it’s an essential part of living a balanced and fulfilled life. By taking time to nurture yourself, you create the energy and clarity needed to be present for others.

As a self-care advocate, it’s clear that I’m a big believer in it. My journey to making self-care a priority started when I felt constantly drained, tired, and emotionally worn out. My body would ache so much that sleep was hard to come by, and even when I did rest, I felt no better. It’s like my body was tired, but my mind wouldn’t settle, and I couldn’t figure out why. That’s when I realized I needed to make a change. Taking care of myself wasn’t just important—it was essential for my well-being.
As time passed, I came to the realization that not only I was neglecting myself but also doing myself a disservice. I understood the importance of pausing until I could tend to every aspect of myself properly. It became clear that taking better care of myself was essential. I have not felt that kind of fatigue for so many years now, and this is such a great feeling. What a blessing!
Needless to say that Self-care has become a significant focus for me. It involves various practices to nurture my physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional well-being. In my Self-Care eBook, 4 Essential Phases of Self-Care And Self-Love, I talked about the plan of care that helped me thrive. I used my challenges and life lessons to work on my first craft, myself, and the rest is history. I’ve learned that prioritizing self-care isn’t selfish—it is necessary for my overall health and happiness.
Moving forward, my path became apparent; I learned to be intentional, and today I am a Lifestyle blogger and Self-Care Advocate. My questions for you: Are you taking care of yourself? Do you prioritize self-care? What do you do for self-care?
