How To Use The Unshakeable Power Within Us!

Hey Love, bring on your sunny glow….

If everyone could silence their insecurities and kick fear to the curb, many of the obstacles we face would disappear. The problem is that some people believe they cannot do this, which creates its own set of issues.

Well, I am not sure how some of my lovely readers will feel about this post, as some of us may be in denial about their potential and might not even see its value. Nonetheless, I am here to discuss the unshakeable power to succeed that lies within you. Anyhow, let me start by sharing a famous quote with you, written by Henry Ford: ‘Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t, you’re right.”

Do you think you can, or you cannot?

Let’s make some progress. What is your primary attitude, your initial response to any situation? Whether it’s a physical, emotional, financial, or any other challenge you face in life, your attitude is crucial. I’ll go first: I believe I can. I think about how I am going to do it, and then I tackle it. I strongly believe it comes down to mindset, disposition, and how you see yourself. As a child, could anyone make you believe you couldn’t walk? Because you knew you could, you got up one day and started walking, right? Do you think the scenario would be the same if you were to try something new in your life now?

If you think you cannot, the truth is that you are not even going to try. You won’t even consider it for a minute. This mindset creates a barrier that prevents you from taking any steps toward your goal. Doubt and fear dominate your thoughts, convincing you that failure is inevitable, so you don’t take the first step.

But if you think you can, and you believe in yourself enough to hold that thought, the truth is that you will try, perhaps many times, until you succeed. The satisfaction you will have at the end will be worthwhile. The key is that you decided you can. You want to prove to yourself that you can, and finding ways to accomplish that becomes your mindset.

What it takes to be a “doer”?

For those of you who still believe you cannot pursue certain aspirations—whether it’s becoming a chef, changing careers, going back to school, learning a new language, writing your first book, becoming a blogger, embarking on solo travel, or taking a sabbatical—ask yourselves: Are you really comfortable with these decisions? Do they reflect your genuine intentions? Are you living your truth? And if you think you are, what do you call that feeling of dissatisfaction that lingers with you?

If we take athletes as examples to illustrate their mindset as opponents, we can appreciate the real competitive aspect. Athletes often exhibit a high level of mental toughness, focus, and a relentless drive to improve. Do you think athletes step onto the field thinking they cannot win? I really doubt it. Especially in intense contact sports, such as football or basketball, where every move is scrutinized and every moment counts, such a mindset would cripple their performance.

Athletes are not just competing against their opponents; they’re also fighting their own internal battles to maintain their position, under immense pressure. Whether it’s holding their ground against a charging opponent or making split-second decisions in high-stakes situations, athletes must not only physically outperform their rivals but also mentally conquer their doubts and fears. It takes determination, courage, and resilience to be a ‘doer.’ But foremost, it takes having the right mindset.

How can one cultivate the mindset of an ‘I can do’ person?

  • Learn how to remain calm to assess situations

  • Look for the positive outlook of things

  • Accept the tasks/responsibilities without excuses

  • Be resourceful and intentional

  • Contemplate different strategies you can use that can provide similar results

  • Accept the challenges and think how to overcome them

  • Embrace change as new opportunities

  • Focus on your new priorities and stay on course

  • Keep the momentum

  • Embrace CHANGE (a daily lesson)

Final Thoughts

If you believe that the unshakeable power to succeed lies within you, don’t let society dictate your worth or tell you what you can or cannot do. You have the power to decide that for yourself!

Why is it that some of us are quick to discourage the brave souls who dare to defy these limitations? It’s a paradox worth examining: Why do we impose limits on ourselves and others, and what holds us back from embracing the boundless possibilities life has to offer? Imagine how different our lives could be if we chose to support our dreams instead. Wouldn’t it be liberating to see what’s truly possible?

When we defeat ourselves mentally, we risk missing opportunities that come your way because you’ve already decided that you’re not capable. This self-defeating attitude keeps us stuck, unable to grow or improve, and perpetuates a cycle of inaction and missed potential.
